Named Pirates, Ensemble Pirates/Crew, and Honest Abby: Any combination of navy blue and white. Solid colors work as do stripes. Please no logos or words. They may wear shorts and t-shirts. It gets very hot on the stage. Please do NOT wear Jeans or Jean shorts. These clothes can be things you already own. If you purchase something buy something your child would wear again or something inexpensive. Michaels sells solid t-shirt that would work fine.

Ensemble Natives and Named Natives: I am looking for any combination of bright neon or fluorescent colors in pink, yellow, green or orange. Please stay away from Blue and White. Shorts, T-shirts, or tank tops are good choices. The stage gets VERY hot. Do not wear jeans or jean shorts. These clothes can be things you already own. If you purchase something buy something your child would wear again or something inexpensive. Michaels sells solid t-shirt that would work fine.

Students and Dog: Should wear the costume of whatever ensemble role they play. We will add props to convey these parts.

The following Characters must coordinate with other cast members that play the same role. It is important that costumes match as closely as possible so that the audience can keep track of the character changes. I have attached the cast list with student names to help you coordinate.

Narrators/Story Tellers: You should look like “kids”, I would also like it to be obvious that you all play the same part, though your costumes can vary as long as there is a theme. Please coordinate.

Mom: I am flexible with what you choose as long as it is “momish”. You should dress older than Jenna. Both moms must dress the same.

Jenna: You should be dressed like a kid. Please try to be different from the ensemble mentioned above. All 5 Jenna’s must be dressed the same.

Doctor Livesy: You should be dressed like a doctor. You must coordinate with the other doctor.

Squire Trelawney: You should coordinate with the other squire. You are a nobleman but feel free to be creative with your costume.

Long John Silver: You should be dressed like a pirate. You are also the cook of the ship so your clothes should reflect that you are not part of the blue and white crew. Maybe an apron or something.

The following characters need to dress for the part, but do not need to coordinate with anyone else. Feel free to be creative with these characters.

Ben Gunn: You are a pirate, however you have been marooned on the Island for quite some time. Your clothes should be tattered and torn to reflect this.

Blind Pew: You are a pirate. Feel free to be creative.

Billy Bones: You are a pirate. Be creative.

Captain Smollett: Please dress like the Captain of a ship. Be creative.

The Parrot: Please dress in all black. We will provide you with a puppet. You may add some feathers to your hair to represent that you are the parrot if you want.
